WESPC Exhaust Valve 3124A171 For Perkins 1004 Series 4.0 L Diesels Engine

Application:

The exhaust valve 3124A171 is engineered for Perkins 1004 Series 4.0 L diesels, covering naturally-aspirated 1004-4 and turbocharged 1004-4T engines widely used in Massey Ferguson 5400-series tractors, Landini Rex and Legend orchard models, JCB 4CX back-hoe loaders, FG Wilson P65-P90 generator sets and 4-cylinder irrigation pumps that operate on low-sulphur diesel, biodiesel blends or 100 % HVO without hardware change.

Technical specifications:

Overall length 152 mm, stem diameter 8.0 mm finished to −0.025/−0.035 mm so the standard guide clearance stays 0.04-0.06 mm; head diameter 38.0 mm with a 45° seat angle gives a 2.0 mm sealing width able to withstand 28 bar peak cylinder pressure at 2.0 bar boost. The 6.5 mm hardened tip is induction-heated to 52-56 HRC to resist cupping under 1,100 N valve-spring load, while the single 7° lock groove accepts 8 mm collets and the 12 mm chromium-plated stem band below the groove cuts guide wear during cold idling.

Material & performance features:

Head and stem are one-piece forged from 21-4N austenitic steel (21 % Cr, 4 % Ni, 9 % Mn, 0.45 % N), solution-treated at 1,150 °C and age-hardened to 28-32 HRC room-temperature hardness that rises to 38 HRC at 700 °C, giving excellent creep strength under continuous full-load exhaust temperatures up to 800 °C.
