WESPC Valve Spring T417881 For Perkins 1106A E70TAG 1106D-70TA Diesel Engine

Application:

T417881 is the outer (and often inner) valve spring fitted around both inlet and exhaust valves on 6-cylinder Perkins 1106A/E70TAG and 1106D-70TA diesels (7.0 L) used in JCB JS130/JS145 excavators, CAT 320D2 tracked carriers, 100 kVA “Vista A” generator sets, Claas Lexion combines and marine auxiliaries. It maintains correct valve motion up to 2 200 min⁻¹ while meeting EU Stage IIIA / EPA Tier 3 emission limits.

Technical specifications:

Free length 52 mm, outer diameter 32 mm, wire diameter 3.8 mm, 6.5 active coils, solid length 30 mm. Material is chrome-vanadium spring steel (50CrV4) oil-quenched and tempered to 47 HRC, then shot-peened to 0.30 mm A-intensity to raise fatigue life to 1 × 10⁷ cycles.

Material & performance features:

The 50CrV4 alloy (0.5 % C, 1 % Cr, 0.15 % V) offers 1 600 MPa tensile strength and 8 % elongation, resisting surge-set when exhaust temperature reaches 750 °C. Controlled shot-peening induces 450 MPa compressive stress on the outer surface, delaying fatigue crack initiation and extending service life to 12 000 h.
